Giving Tuesday – Join Us!

Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been designated as a global day dedicated to giving back.

On Dec. 1, we will be participating in several ways.

• We continue to collect new and slightly used coats, hats and gloves, as well as new socks, toiletries and boxed and canned goods, for the Nyack Homeless Project.

On Tuesday, if you stop in and make a donation to the Nyack Homeless Project, we will say thanks by giving you 10% off one item in either Maria Luisa Boutique or ML by Maria Luisa.

• Here at Maria Luisa, you well know our ML/GL (Maria Luisa/Global Local) initiative has just passed its first anniversary. We hope you will consider this among your options when it comes time to give back on this day. As always, all online orders will give you the chance to designate to which organization we will donate 10% of your purchase price – the Nyack Center, People to People, VCS Pride or the ML by Maria Luisa Scholarship Fund.

MARK THOSE CALENDARS There's a lot to let you know about this month and into December.

We are again happily serving as a "drop-off point" for donations to the Nyack Homeless Project, which is collecting new and slightly used coats, hats and gloves, as well as new socks, toiletries and canned/boxed foods. 

Stop by and make a donation through Dec. 22.

And remember that crazy-busy span of shopping days is just around the corner. Yes, it will kick off in both our shops on Black Friday - the day after Thanksgiving (when we are closed to celebrate with our families and friends), continue into Small Business Saturday and then return for Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday.

Sure, we’re not considered children’s boutiques but that doesn’t mean we don’t carry all kinds of merchandise ideal for the younger set.

IN THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON

Once again, we are happy to be participating in the annual drive of the Nyack Homeless Project.

The organization’s 2015 Winter Drive is now under way, with the nonprofit seeking the following for men, women and children:

• New and slightly used coats, hats and gloves

• New socks, toiletries and canned/boxed food.

Maria Luisa Boutique is a drop-off point for donations, which will be collected through Dec. 22.
