Serial Shopper Dress
So, looks like we all managed to get through winter, huh?

Of course, we can still get snow… but let’s pretend that’s all well and truly behind us.
And here at Maria Luisa Boutique and ML by Maria Luisa, spring is evident at every turn.
Today’s blog tour finds us focusing on color – can’t a fresh burst of it just lift your mood, change your look and impact your day?

Maybe it’s poppy red or sea green, sky blue or saffron yellow in solids or patterns from geometric to florals.
We’ve got wonderfully lightweight sweaters – perfect for these transitional days and ready to see you through spring, summer evenings and even early autumn.

By now, we hope you’re aware of the ML by Maria Luisa Scholarship Fund.
We launched the new initiative this past autumn with a goal of awarding our first scholarship at the end of this academic year – and we thank you all for participating in our fund-raising efforts both in our shops and through purchases at
The scholarship, a longtime goal of owner Maria Luisa Whittingham (who herself benefitted from a scholarship during her school days), is now in place with the inaugural award to indeed be presented at the end of this academic year.
The scholarship is designed to recognize “Rockland County high school female seniors who have demonstrated a desire to learn and foster principles of civic and community involvement, issues around social justice, inequality and related interests supporting Fair Trade and eco-friendly principles. Each year, a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a promising Rockland County high school female senior, in need of financial aid, to assist with costs in attending a college of her choice.”
We at Maria Luisa are so pleased to see this all become a reality. Please encourage any female Rockland high school senior you know to consider applying – and please help us further spread the word.
Deadline for filing is April 17. Finalists may be contacted for an interview. Students will be notified by email of any scholarship award on or before June 1.

NEW FOR 2015 Creative Workshops at Maria Luisa

ML Creative Workshops

Maria Luisa Boutique and ML by Maria Luisa have long been about more than just places to shop. We love showcasing artists, writers and musicians. We also love to host special events, with past evenings devoted to topics ranging from financial independence for women to beauty (from within) to the benefits of exercise and movement.
Each time we welcome you to a special event, there's a common theme - bringing us all together in an experience that we hope enriches our lives.

In that spirit, we continue our program
with a series of Creative Workshops.

We kicked off the series in February with our "Be Your Own Valentine Party," an evening of soulful connection hosted by Cynthia Shaw.
We are busy booking in future events; feel free to be in touch if you - or someone you know- is interested in hosting a workshop, book signing, class or performance.
